1 1/2 cup self rising cornmeal
1/2 cup self rising flour
1 tsp sugar
1 egg
1 small onion, chopped ( I use more)
1 can Rotel Tomatoes with green chilies
Combine all ingredients and drop by teaspoon or tablespoon
(whatever size yuou prefer) in hot oil, or along with fish
you are frying. Brown to your taste.
You need to flip them over while frying in order for them to
cook through and through. My grandchildren like to dip them
in catchup only, they will make a meal out of just hush puppies.
