Dark Fruit Cake

Dark Fruit Cake

Cream together 1/2 lb. of butter and 2 cups of brown sugar.
Add:
5 eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
2 cups of plain flour
1 tsp. of baking powder
Mix together the above ingredients.

Add the following candied fruits after dredging in flour.
1 lb. of candied cherries
1 lb. of candied pineapple
1 pint of pineapple preserves (don’t dredge in flour)
1 pint of orange marmalade (don’t dredge in flour)
7 cups of nuts
1 lb. of shredded coconut

Bake at 250 degrees for 3-3 1/2 hrs. in a greased and lined
tube pan.
