Maryann Lee Hush Puppies

Ingredients

1 ½ cups of yellow corn meal
1/3 cup of flour
2 tablespoon baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
¾ cup of buttermilk or more for moister
½ cup spring onion ( chopped finely ) or just yellow onion
1 eggs
½ cup of green pepper ( finely chopped )
Small can of vacuum fresh corn ( drain)

Heat oil in a deep fryer or Dutch oven pan.
Beat egg and then mix in the remaining ingredients.
Make sure that your dry ingredients are all moist.
Using a tablespoon, drop ball of batter into hot oil.
Turn as cook, fry until golden brown on each side and drain
the hush puppies on a paper towel.
